Hausmühle Steinbach am Attersee

The Hausmühle in Kaisigen shows families traditional mill technology and woodworking. The lovingly preserved mill ensemble offers insights into historical milling methods, and since autumn 2014 a reconstructed Holzknechtsölln stands next to it – a walk-in, child-friendly model of the everyday living conditions of the woodworkers 🌲. In the local history museum exhibitions complement the presentation on the Weg des Attergauer Holzes, with stories about how wood was transported from the forest to the shore.
