Description

The Heimathaus Schalchen is a local museum with more than a thousand objects that show rural life. Many exhibits were donated by residents – none of them purchased. The building is already mentioned around 1550 and thus offers a tangible glimpse into the past. 🔍

For families there is a varied annual program: monthly family hikes (first Sunday, April–October), the Raunacht torchlight procession on the night 5.–6. Januar with a torch march, a stop at an inn and Schnittensuppe, as well as the annual Stadlfest with live entertainment and traditional treats. The association also organizes a larger excursion to Austria/Bavaria (about 30–50 places). 👨👩👧👦
