Description

The Heimatmuseum is located in the former train station building and offers fascinating insights into the historical development of the village and the life’s work of its ancestors through changing exhibitions.

Particularly worth seeing is the Bergbremsbahn – an old funicular railway that was once used in the local sandstone quarry to transport loaded mine cars downhill and return empty ones uphill without external power.

The museum also displays a remarkable children’s gravestone from the 19th century, likely made in Fechenbach, honoring seven early-deceased children of the Söller family and originally placed in the cemetery in Stadtprozelten.
