Husum Dockkoogspitze

This green, bathing beach free of resort charges is only a few minutes from Husum's city center and borders directly on the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. This favorite swimming spot, loved equally by locals and vacationers, stretches over 300 meters and boasts excellent water quality. During the bathing season, the DLRG ensures safety. Every six hours you can experience the fascinating interplay of the tides up close: at high tide, refresh yourself in the waves of the North Sea; at low tide, the exposed seabed invites you to walk in the mud.

Green Beach

The spacious, well-kept grassy lounging areas offer the opportunity to rent typical North Sea beach baskets. A bathing jetty and several stone steps provide safe access to the North Sea. Right at the bathing area, you’ll find a beach café with snacks, sanitary facilities, and changing cabins. Freestanding showers are available directly by the water.

The extensive meadow area, including a large playground, gives little guests plenty of space to run, play, or fly kites. At the transition to the dike, there is also an information pavilion that offers exciting insights into the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park.

Dog Beach

In front of the northern section of the lawn, there is a designated area for dogs. Although dogs must be kept on a leash here, they still have plenty of room to play, romp, and make new friends.

Activity Beach

Sports enthusiasts will get their fill at the beach: there are courts for beach volleyball, basketball, and streetball. Soccer fans can also work off steam here and play exciting matches.

Directions & Parking

Parking for bathers is located opposite the Nordsee-Hotel. From there, a foot and bike path leads directly over the dike to the bathing beach.
