K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen

K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen invites families to enjoy a diverse cultural experience. The museum features an international collection of contemporary art that offers fascinating insights into modern artistic expressions.

Especially for children and families, there is the “Playground” by Sonia Kazovsky, which creates a playful space within the museum and encourages active participation.

Interactive performances like the “Starmirror Training Performance” with artists Holly Herndon & Mat Dryhurst provide dynamic moments where older children can gather creative inspiration.

Another highlight for art-loving families is the K21 Global Art Award ceremony including an artist talk with the 2026 winner Julia Phillips – an exciting educational opportunity about current art trends and emerging artists.
