Description

The Karden- und Heimatmuseum is housed in the old schoolhouse and sparks children's curiosity about school life in the past. 🏫

To discover there is a toy exhibition, seasonal craft demonstrations and children's holiday activities, where you can see traditional techniques and join in yourself.

Exhibitions also show regional photos, school records from the 1940s – 1970s and over 50 objects related to the history of Mauthausen, Gusen and the concentration camp subcamps – suitable for older children and adolescents.

You can bring class photos or share contributions; a booklet series 'Katsdorfer Heimatblätter' explores local stories.

  • Toy exhibition for children and nostalgics
  • Seasonal craft demonstrations to watch
  • Regional photos and school records from the 1940s–1970s
  • Bring-and-share action: class photos and family contributions possible
