Klettersteig Kronprinz Rudolf

The Klettersteig Kronprinz Rudolf is an easy, beginner-friendly via ferrata (A–B) – ideal as an introduction for families.

The route is compact (ca. 350 m length, ~150 m elevation gain) and consists mostly of walking sections with a few simple climbing parts. Typical duration is about 1.5–2.5 hours – quite manageable for family outings.

There are always simple exit options to the hiking trail without additional equipment, and the approach follows marked hiking paths to the Kalser Törl. Nearby is the Rudolfshütte on the south shore of the Weißsee as a possible meeting or rest point.
