Kriminalpanoptikum Aschersleben: Dem Verbrechen auf der Spur

Description
## Short Description
Here you feel like Al Capone or Sherlock Holmes. At Kriminalpanoptikum Aschersleben: Dem Verbrechen auf der Spur, you experience the stories of clever criminals as well as the smart investigators.
## Description
The walls of Aschersleben’s former city fortifications are massive and tower meters high. In 1896, a detention prison made of red bricks was built under their protection. Anyone imprisoned here didn’t get out easily before their trial. Today, a thrilling and beautifully eerie exhibition takes you into the world of crime stories from times past. Sherlock Holmes guides you through different sections: from authentically furnished prison cells and police offices to historic crime and investigation tools to bizarre crime cases.
The sight of medieval torture devices can definitely make a nervous sweat break out. Also impressive are the exhibits on the history of forensic evidence collection and crime photography. Here you can even sit down and take your own personal criminal mug shot. The Kriminalpanoptikum is designed as an interactive museum aimed at a younger audience but fascinates older visitors as well.
