Description

The Landwirtschaftsmuseum showcases the historic rural life of Weil am Rhein and honors agriculture as an important economic sector alongside the textile industry.

In a stable over 200 years old that preserves the old village character of Altweiler, authentic 19th-century agricultural exhibits are presented in their original setting. This includes areas such as livestock breeding, dairy farming, and the cultivation of fruits and vegetables.

Particularly fascinating is the collection of around 50 enameled advertising signs from historic agriculture, displayed alongside large-format photographs from the early 20th century. This lets you experience many rural work processes up close.
