Description

The Vitra Design Museum presents impressive exhibitions that bring design history to life. Currently on display is a major exhibition about Geoffrey Bawa, an important architect from Sri Lanka who combines modernism with regional and traditional elements to create architecture that thoughtfully responds to local culture and materials.

To celebrate Verner Panton's 100th birthday, there is a comprehensive show featuring iconic designs like the Panton Chair and the Flowerpot lamp. Rare furniture pieces, visionary living spaces, and architectural projects invite wonder and exploration.

In the Barragán Gallery, plans, photographs, and archival documents related to Luis Barragán are on display, including a journey through modern Mexican architecture.

The museum also offers exciting workshops and plenty of information about design objects that invite families with children to discover design history through hands-on activities and storytelling in a fun way.
