Description

Lernort Sozialdorf Herzogsägmühle preserves over 130 years of history of a social village focused on inclusion and social responsibility. Here, you will find exhibitions and digital themed trails exploring fascinating historical and social questions – including topics on Nazi health policies and the culture of remembrance.

Interactive workshops invite children and youth to engage with biographies related to diaconal learning and remembrance work. A digital memorial book honors the victims and persecuted under the Nazi regime and provides insight into social exclusion and forced labor during that era.

The learning site welcomes everyone interested: families, school groups, social organizations, and visitors from the region. Herzogsägmühle is presented as a typical village with a variety of community facilities – from its former role as a reception center for poor wanderers to today's social village with diverse diaconal services and housing options.

A visit offers you profound insight into history and social issues with lots of space for education and shared discovery. 📚
