Description

The Löhe-Zeit-Museum in Neuendettelsau offers fascinating insights into the history of craftsmanship and regional development.

In the special exhibition “Feierabendziegel”, you will find individually designed roof tiles that were hand-painted in their free time by bricklayers. The motifs range from simple ornaments to animals, plants, and religious depictions, as well as humorous images – each telling a piece of everyday life and craftsmanship.

Other exhibitions shed light on the economic and social development of Neuendettelsau after World War II, including crafts, trades, cooperative movements, and the role of the Diakonie.

The history of the Luftmunitionsanstalt „Muna Neuendettelsau“ is also presented – from its establishment in 1934 through the postwar period.

Additionally, one exhibition displays historic pewter utensils that were once used to store food, spices, drinks, and valuables, offering insights into the craftsmanship and cultural history of the region.
