Description

Lurgrotte Semriach features millennia-old stalactite formations and enormous rock domes, making it an impressive natural attraction in Styria – perfect for families and nature lovers.

The Great Dome is one of the ten largest cave domes in the world, measuring 120 meters long, 80 meters wide, and 40 meters high. Also awe-inspiring is the "Giant" – the world's largest free-hanging stalactite.

From April to October, the Great Dome transforms into a magical natural spectacle with classical music, light shows, and the sound of dripping water – a unique experience of light and sound.

Families with children between 4 and 9 years can enjoy the exciting children’s treasure hunt "Auf den Spuren von Luna" 🦇, which tells the adventurous story of Luna, the little bat in distress.

The cave is wheelchair accessible, dog-friendly, and offers a step-free path from the parking lot up to halfway through the guided tour. In winter, an approximately four-hour adventure tour with a helmet, headlamp, and explorer suit invites you to discover 2.5 kilometers of untouched cave space.
