Description

Lutherhaus is a historic, protected monument that offers fascinating insights into architectural and art history from the late Middle Ages to modern times. You can explore the building itself as a living exhibition and embark on a historical journey through different construction phases as well as regional city and Reformation history.

Particularly impressive are the medieval wall paintings, a richly decorated bay window, wood-paneled historic rooms, and an occasional chapel with biblical wall drawings – perfect for experiencing culture and religious art up close.

The connection to Martin Luther is legendary, as he stayed several times at Lutherhaus during his visits to Neustadt an der Orla.

Since the 1990s, Lutherhaus has been carefully restored to preserve its various historical states and make them authentically tangible.

Occasional exhibitions take place here as well, and the local tourist information office is also housed in the building – a great blend of culture and service.
