Mittelschwäbisches Heimatmuseum Krumbach
Description
The Mittelschwäbisches Heimatmuseum Krumbach invites you to dive into the regional history and everyday culture of Middle Swabia. Especially exciting for families is the permanent exhibition on Swabian nativity scene culture, which offers a special insight into local traditions.
In addition to the nativity exhibition, the museum tells the story of flight and expulsion after 1945 and its impact on the region – an important opportunity for young visitors to discover history in a lively way.
In the historic attic, a reconstructed sukkah room showcases the Jewish history of the house, adding a special cultural perspective to the visit.
There is also plenty to see outdoors: a historic signal box and a glassed-in shed for large technical exhibits make the tour interactive and varied.
The museum was awarded the Swabian Museum Prize by the Hans Freier Cultural Foundation in 2011, highlighting its cultural significance.
