Description

The Archäologisches Museum der Stadt Weißenhorn features a diverse collection of fascinating finds from various eras – from traces of the Stone Age to Roman artifacts and everyday objects from the Middle Ages and Early Modern period.

Especially fascinating is a medieval gravestone from Attenhofen with a Hebrew inscription on the back, inviting exciting discoveries.

Since its founding in 1987, the collection has quickly grown through finds from Weißenhorn and the surrounding area and was able to be presented in its own building in 1989.

The exhibition enriches the study of the city's history and valuable complements the holdings of the local history museum.
