Description

The Museum im Wittelsbacher Schloss Friedberg presents the history of the castle and the town impressively alongside magnificent clocks and timepieces from Friedberg.

Highlights include the Friedberger Fayencen, archaeological finds of regional importance, and religious art.

Modern art from Friedberg is shown, among others, with works by graphic artist Fritz Schwimbeck and painter Karl Müller-Liedeck, complemented by coin designs by Reinhart Heinsdorff, the designer of the Euro-Cent-Münzen.

Interactive exhibits and multimedia stations engage all the senses and make the visit especially exciting for families.

A café with a terrace leading into the castle garden rounds off the experience and invites visitors to linger.

The main texts are available in English, and there are free audio guides in English, French and Italian. Here high educational standards meet the joy of discovery – a recommendation for anyone who wants to experience history and art in varied ways.
