Naturbad Banteln

At Naturbad Banteln, you will find not only a swimming pool but also a sunbathing lawn with a playground, a diving tower, and the Külf Restaurant offering food and drinks.

The eco-friendly and future-oriented concept of a natural swimming pond with a plant-based filtration system completely avoids chlorine or similar chemicals. This results in exceptionally high water quality, which is especially beneficial for allergy sufferers, but all visitors appreciate chlorine-free water. Additionally, chemical-free water does not burden the sewage system, thus contributing directly to environmental protection.

The Banteln outdoor pool was opened in 1928 as a model bathing facility in the district of Hildesheim. Increased quality standards for outdoor pools and outdated technology led to the pool's closure in June 1996. From the strong local community, committed citizens quickly came together, driven by conviction and willingness to engage socially, to establish the Förderverein Freibad Banteln e.V in August 1996. In 2008, the name was changed to "Naturbad Banteln e.V." to better reflect the environmentally friendly concept.
