Description

After extensive renovations, the newly redesigned NaturErlebnisBad Großenhain invites both young and old to splash, slide, swim, and relax to their heart's content. The water is still purified purely biologically, without any chemical additives. Großenhain, the “friendly city in green,” has consciously decided against a technical chlorine pool.

Special thought has been given to the youngest visitors, as the new toddler pool with a mobile slide and sunshade canopy attracts many fans in the summer. And the 10-meter-wide wave slide into the non-swimmer area brings smiles not only to children’s faces. All swimmers enjoy the redesigned swimming area with three 50-meter lanes and one 25-meter lane. The swimming area has also been structurally separated from the diving section, so swimmers and divers no longer cross paths. The 2.5-meter-high diving rock, the pool’s landmark, has also regained its place at the NaturErlebnisBad.

Visitors praise, among other things, the successful design, the good water quality in all pool areas, the foot-friendly, slip-resistant lining in the toddler and non-swimmer areas, and last but not least, the family-friendly admission prices.

Beyond the swimming fun, there is plenty to enjoy for relaxation, variety, and gastronomy. Umbrellas and trees provide shade, and the open areas offer a beach volleyball court, table tennis tables, a small soccer field, a sandbox with water play, open spaces for other sports like badminton and skill fields, as well as lawns for lounging.

Integrated into the functional building is a bistro snack bar offering a wide range of meals, drinks, and a selection of delicious ice cream.

Anyone who needs to stay connected can use the free Wi-Fi.

The pool visit is also an experience for visitors with limited mobility. Barrier-free access to the pool area, accessible changing rooms, and unrestricted use of the showers all ensure a perfect swim experience.

Since 2020, the sustainability of the NaturErlebnisBad has been supported by the installation of a photovoltaic system for self-generated power.
