Description

The outdoor pool is located on the south side of the Neroberg and is one of the pools with an especially scenic setting. From the pools and the terraces with lawns, you can enjoy views over Wiesbaden and the vineyards on the slopes of the Neroberg. During a major renovation in 2018, the pool level was raised to further emphasize the view. The Wiesbaden city coat of arms with the three lilies is featured on the pool floor.

Opelbad was opened in 1934 and owes its existence to a foundation by industrialist Wilhelm von Opel, who ran Adam Opel AG together with his brothers. The facility was established as a "swimming and sunbathing pool" on the Neroberg and shows architectural influences from the Bauhaus style.

Today, Opelbad offers a sports pool, a children's pool for non-swimmers, a water slide, as well as lawns for sunbathing and food services. Thanks to its location and amenities, it is both a place for serious swimming and relaxation with a view over the city.
