Römermuseum Bedaium
Description
At the Römermuseum Bedaium, you can look forward to fascinating insights into the Celtic and Roman history of the Chiemgau region. The museum is located in Seebruck on the northern shore of Lake Chiemsee, where the Alz River begins and where a bridge with a long-standing tradition has stood for thousands of years.
The name Bedaium comes from a water deity once worshipped here – now a church with a monumental stone temple stands on that spot. Visitors can not only explore the museum but also experience 4,000 years of history up close on an archaeological bike trail.
For groups of 10 or more, knowledgeable museum guides offer informative adventure tours that can be booked in advance. Especially exciting are the tours with the legionary Quintus Tiberius Octavius, which bring history to life.
The museum shop offers the thematically fitting Roman beer "BEDAIUM" – perfect for anyone who wants to taste a piece of history! 🍺
