Rundfunkmuseum Werben: Beeindruckende Technik-Sammlung

Description
## Brief Description
At the Rundfunkmuseum Werben: Beeindruckende Technik-Sammlung, Rüdiger Haase displays his private collection. It includes more than 1,000 exhibits spanning 100 years of broadcast history.
## Description
Rüdiger Haase worked as a radio mechanic in the Altmark region. Some of his customers "left" him old radio devices, and because he didn’t want to throw anything away, his collection grew over the decades. He found enough space for his collection in the vacant building of the former power plant in Werben. In 2016, he opened his private broadcasting museum here.
The collection includes more than 1,000 exhibits. Among them are a radio receiver from 1929 that had only earphones instead of a speaker, a "people’s radio" from the Nazi era, and a futuristic television designed in the 1990s by star designer Luigi Colani for the Staßfurt manufacturer RFT. Spread throughout are numerous tube radios and televisions, as well as tape recorders, turntables, cassette players, and music chests from GDR production. Rüdiger Haase can tell a story about every item. Many cyclists stop at this unusual technology museum during their tour along the Elbe bike path.
