Description
Enjoy the idyllic setting of Secker Weiher.
The large and small ponds are separated by a dam. The large pond is fed by a small stream, and the overflow supplies water to the small pond. The ponds were created in 1672 by Prince Moritz Heinrich of Nassau-Hadamar to ensure fish supply during Lent.
Today, they form the heart of a peaceful and beautiful local recreation area that also offers good facilities including a campsite and dining options.
The water quality of Secker Weiher is regularly tested by the health department, so you can enjoy swimming with confidence. A playground and a mud play area on the sandy beach provide great fun for children while the adults can relax and sunbathe on the lawn.
Admission prices (as of 2024):
Adults €3
Children 4-14 years €1
Dogs €1 (Dogs are not allowed in the pond, only on the lawn)
