Stadthagen

Description
Stadthagen was founded around 1220 by Count Adolf III of Holstein-Schaumburg from Schaumburg.
As a residence city in the 16th and 17th centuries, during the Renaissance period,
Stadthagen experienced a special heyday. Many of Stadthagen's buildings still
bear witness to this today.
Discover Stadthagen on a walking tour through the historic old town from its
most beautiful side. Notable buildings along the route are marked by a paved, lying
"D." It represents a unique architectural feature of the city: the arch with
ball details is a typical element of Weser Renaissance architecture.
