The Steirische Eisenstraße turns the industrial and mining culture into a true cultural experience during the Days of Industrial Culture – connecting the past, present, and future.

The Lernschmiede Steirische Eisenstraße offers young people exciting opportunities to get to know their homeland better, for example through an escape room full of puzzles and surprises.

Since 2018, the mining and smelting traditions of the Steirische Eisenstraße have been recognized as intangible UNESCO cultural heritage. Visitors can experience typical customs at the event: Barbarabier tapping, Barbara traditions, and miners' dances and songs showcase vibrant local culture.
