Strandbad Übersee

This extremely family-friendly Strandbad on the southeastern shore of Lake Chiemsee features the longest continuous sandy beach in southern Germany (5 km). Thanks to the extremely shallow, sandy access to the water, even the little ones (and especially their parents) are guaranteed a stress-free paddling pleasure. With its huge beach, beautiful sun terrace, the new café lounge "Palma," and the lakeside beach bar, Strandbad Übersee offers everything you could wish for a "short vacation" right at your doorstep. Here you can let your soul unwind and truly relax all day long and in the evening – always with a touch of "Caribbean feeling."

Besides the park-like, 50,000 m² sunbathing lawn with many shade-providing trees, the Strandbad also offers a comprehensive range of sports and games. From the children’s playground to a beach volleyball court, water volleyball court, badminton court, table tennis tables, and even lawn chess, you’ll find plenty of ways to fill your day at the lake. People with physical disabilities and wheelchair users can also enjoy splashing in the lake thanks to the available rental beach wheelchair.
