Description

At the Historisches Museum Obergünzburg, a fascinating journey to the South Seas awaits you! Experience an immersive discovery tour that begins with a mysterious play of light and shadow, revealing a Tatanua mask. Afterward, the path leads into a round room, where screens take you on an incredible journey through the Earth's core to Papua-New Guinea – past glowing magma and the Marianas Trench! 🌋

For all little adventurers, there's a great opportunity: You can take part in the „Südsee-Abenteuer“ and playfully explore the cultures of these distant islands. Also discover an interactive map that traces Captain Karl Nauer's exciting journeys through the South Seas with LED markers. The entire design of the museum – inside and out – lets you feel the colors and images of the South Seas, from hot lava to high ocean waves.
