Tiergehege Hammer

The 15.2-hectare Tiergehege Hammer is located between Ihlkatenweg and Ihlseeweg. Dexter cattle, mouflon, red deer, gray moorland sheep, and fallow deer live here. You can reach the animal enclosure by turning left from Rendburger Landstraße onto Ihlkatenweg, then left again onto Ihlseeweg.

It is divided into four distinct landscape areas: the forest, a section with dry grassland, the Kuhlensee lake, and the edge of the lowland near Kuhfurtsau. The dry grassland area is particularly important for habitat and species protection, as it hosts several plant species listed on the Red List.
