Umweltzentrum Heerser Mühle

Umweltzentrum Heerser Mühle invites you to a large site of about 30 hectares featuring gardens, ponds, a terraced rock landscape, a recycling garden with sculptures, and a natural stone stage where concerts and readings take place in summer. This diverse offer is aimed at visitors of all ages and encourages wonder, discovery, and understanding of nature.

The center places great emphasis on environmental education for children, youth, and adults. Each year, more than 13,000 people participate in programs that strengthen a personal and emotional connection to nature through outdoor learning and hands-on activities.

A natural playground on the grounds provides children with extra space to explore and play within the context of nature conservation.

Regularly, special outdoor and environmental workshops as well as events for families and adults take place, such as the workshop "Beautiful Things from Concrete" or group nature hikes – creative offerings that encourage participation and learning.
