Vareler Windmühle

The Vareler Windmühle offers an exciting educational project called "From Grain to Flour", where elementary school children from the Oldenburg area experience traditional grain processing up close – from threshing to milling.

More than 700 children from various schools participate in the program each year and dive into the technology and culture of the mill.

During tours of the mill and an exhibition of historic farm machinery, children actively discover the craft heritage.

Each year, the Vareler Windmühle invites visitors to the Day of Open Monuments with free admission, live music, and exciting mill tours – a true experience for the whole family.

On Pentecost weekend, guests can enjoy a festive program featuring a shanty choir and DJ, along with the opportunity to share coffee, cake, and refreshments together ☕🎶.
