In Ketelvierth near Großenaspe, you can stroll along four circular trails of different lengths (2.5 to 6 km) and learn fascinating things about nature – all without any “classroom feeling.”
Explore natural forests, colorful orchards, dry grasslands, and old gravel pits, and learn more about the landscape and its inhabitants.
A real highlight is the 12-meter-high viewing tower: from the top, you have a wide view over the Holsteiner Auenland – especially beautiful at sunset.

Waldlehrpfad Störkathener Heide
A few kilometers north of Kellinghusen, an exciting educational trail awaits you. At 12 interactive stations, you can marvel, discover, and try things out:
Hide in a real fox den, talk on the phone with a tree, or make the tree xylophone play!
Test your sense of touch and balance by walking on tree trunks or dare to walk barefoot and guess what you feel under your feet.
Waldlehrpfad Hasselbusch
If you're in the mood for a small, cozy discovery tour, Waldlehrpfad Hasselbusch is just right for you.
About 900 meters southwest of Mönkloh, you can immerse yourself deep in the forest on a short, firm path (approx. 15 minutes).
