Description
The beautiful Waldschwimmbad Lollar, located on the edge of the forest with views over the Lahn Valley, is one of the most beautiful and largest outdoor pools in the region. It features a lovely, tree-lined lawn area of 13,000 m², allowing you to retreat a little from the pool bustle when needed. Some seasons attract record visitors of up to 70,000 guests.
The Waldschwimmbad was built in 1955, and in 1991 extensive modernization work was carried out on the sanitary facilities, changing rooms, and entrance area. The outdoor areas were also redesigned, especially the children's section which features a three-part paddling pool and a slide. Children also have access to various play equipment such as animal swings and table tennis. In 2002, a beach volleyball court was added.
The swimming pool is divided into a swimming and non-swimming area and measures 50 meters in length. The water depth ranges from 80 cm to 4 meters and includes an adjacent diving area with two one-meter and one three-meter diving boards. Additionally, a children's slide was installed in 2000 in the non-swimmer section. The water is not heated and temperatures vary between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius depending on the weather. Lifeguard supervision is provided.
Food and drinks are available at the pool restaurant with a terrace and kiosk on site.
