Waldspielpark Goetheturm

Description
Soaring 43 meters into the sky in the middle of Frankfurt's city forest is the wooden Goetheturm: Climb the 196 steps to the top and enjoy a wonderful view of the greenery in the south of the city and, of course, the skyline. Right at the foot of the tower, you'll find one of several forest playgrounds in Frankfurt, covering nearly three hectares and bordered by tall trees – making it a pleasantly shady spot especially in summer. Kids love the Waldspielpark Goetheturm for its numerous play structures, swings, slides, climbing towers, a wooden maze, and a mud play area.
Adults enjoy visiting here too: partly because the tower and the forest playground are located on the Goetheweg and are a particularly lovely place for a break. Plus, right next door the restaurant "Goetheruh" offers plenty of refreshments.
