Wilhelma
Description
Wilhelma is a zoological and botanical garden located in the Bad Cannstatt district of Stuttgart. With around 1.8 million visitors annually, it is one of the most visited zoos in Germany. Covering about 30 hectares, Wilhelma is home to roughly 11,000 animals from all over the world. Together with the Berlin Zoological Garden, it hosts nearly 1,200 species, making it one of the zoos with the greatest species diversity in Germany. The botanical section showcases over 8,500 plant species from every climate zone on Earth. In addition to the publicly accessible garden, Wilhelma also has an outpost, Tennhof in Fellbach, where breeding stallions and bulls of various animal species are kept.
