What awaits visitors of the Thomas Nast Santa Claus Market this year? More than 50 artisan and food stalls fill the festival square in downtown Landau, named after Landau’s most famous son, the cartoonist and father of 'Santa Claus' Thomas Nast. Until Sunday, December 20, guests can look forward to sweet and savory delights such as traditional winemaker’s mulled wine, crepes, gingerbread, and grilled specialties, as well as the Hartmann family’s multi-level carousel with a historic organ, the Henn family’s Santa Express, the Scherrle family’s children’s carousel, the nativity house, and of course the festively decorated and lit Christmas tree. In the two artisan pavilions, visitors can watch the artists at work—and of course, pick up some unique Christmas gifts.

The little visitors of the Santa Claus Market are invited to the “Heavenly Bakery” to bake their own Christmas cookies under expert guidance.

Will Andrea Miller from the "Rebknorze Theater" enrich the market again this year? Surely the kids are already looking forward to the heated puppet theater wagon, as every year.
