Permanent Exhibition at Hambacher Schloss: Up, Up to the Castle

Description
The exhibition "Up, Up to the Castle!" clearly demonstrates why Hambacher Schloss is considered the cradle of German democracy. Through exhibits, hands-on stations, and opportunities for deeper exploration, the events surrounding the Hambach Festival of May 27, 1832 are presented. The festival's regional roots are highlighted alongside its national and European significance. The second part of the exhibition bridges the year 1832 to the present day. Under the motto "Show Your True Colors!" numerous interactive stations invite you to participate, vote, comment, and test your own courage to take a stand. Topics focus on "Hambach-related themes" like freedom of opinion, press freedom, black-red-gold, and Europe.
