Description

The events are primarily aimed at children of elementary school age.

Small children should be carried in a backpack carrier rather than a stroller.

The program is gladly adapted to the needs of visually impaired and blind children as well as to children with limited mobility or learning difficulties.

Depending on interests, age, weather, and season, the program develops with the group on site.

Playfully, you embark on a discovery tour to find answers to exciting questions: How can I recognize a wild forest? How can I navigate in the wilderness? How old is the water in the National Park? Who lives under the trees? Are there dangerous animals in the National Park? How do animals actually hunt?

During hikes accompanied by certified forest guides, children can uncover secrets along the trail using simple tools, learn about healing, poisonous, and tasty plants, read the tracks of wild animals in the National Park, develop curiosity about the beauties of nature, learn about the interaction of natural elements, or simply spend a (un)winding time together with family in the forest.

Please indicate this when registering.

Registration is required at least one working day before the event during service hours. Please register at https://www.nationalpark-eifel.de/familientag.

The Family Days start at different National Park gates and info points.
