Description

When the first leaves change color, the nights grow colder, and the air is filled with the scent of forest and moss, it marks the start of rutting season for the red deer.

After an exciting journey through the interactive exhibition "Wildnis(t)räume," guests head outdoors: together with rangers, they can discover the secrets of the largest mammal in the Eifel National Park.

To join, you need to drive your own vehicle to the Rothirsch-Aussichtsempore parking lot in Dreiborn.

The hike offers breathtaking views across the open landscape of the Dreiborn plateau. With some luck, you might observe red deer during their rut.

In addition to sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing, binoculars are a great addition.

The combination of the guided tour and the hike lasts about three hours in total.
