Lebensraum Streuobstwiese

Description
Lebensraum Streuobstwiese – nature tour in the Trifelsland
We hike from the parking lot to old and newly planted orchard meadows featuring traditional fruit varieties. Orchard meadows are among the most species-rich habitats and provide a living environment for rare, endangered plant and animal species. Your guide will show and inform you about these special features, and you can taste products from the orchard meadows. Additionally, expert information is provided about the Palatinate Forest-North Vosges Biosphere Reserve and the unique characteristics of this natural area. The return journey is either back to the starting point or optionally to the “Dernbacher Haus” for refreshments.
The approximately 4 km trail is easy to walk but has some elevation changes. Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes are necessary. The tour is also suitable and interesting for families with school-age children.
