Saarbrücker Christkindl Market

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Christkindl Market invites you to stroll, marvel, and enjoy – with fragrant mulled wine, festive lights, and lovingly crafted stalls.

Please note: The market will be closed on November 23, 2025.

A special highlight awaits you on December 20: During Late Night Shopping, you can shop comfortably until 10 p.m. and enjoy the magical Christmas atmosphere even longer.

On Bahnhofstraße, the market will open its doors on December 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and again from December 27 to 30, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.

The Flying Santa Claus

The flying Santa Claus delights visitors daily at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. above St. Johanner Markt, accompanied by the cheerfully waving Christkind. On special days, there are additional times: at the opening on December 17 at 6 p.m., every Children’s Wednesday also at 2 p.m., as well as during the Late Night Shopping and the final performance on December 23 at 6 p.m. Please note that weather-related changes may occur and will be announced on site.

Jupiter Ferris Wheel

The world’s only mobile Ferris wheel rises 50 meters above downtown Saarbrücken and invites you to unforgettable rides from November 17 to January 6, 2025 – with special hours on Christmas Eve, during the holidays, and for Late Night Shopping. Adults pay €7, children from 3 years old €4, and there are discounts plus free or reduced-price rides, for example after the 5 p.m. flying Santa Claus show or on Children’s Wednesdays.

Ice Rink

The sustainable synthetic ice rink on Bahnhofstraße invites you to skate daily until December 30 from noon to 8 p.m. (until 10 p.m. for Late Night Shopping on December 21). Visitors can circle around on 10 by 14 meters, rent or sharpen skates, and children can use handy learning aids.
