Description

The Steyrtaler Perchtenlauf transforms the village square into a flickering spectacle of torches, rattling chains and ringing bells – an intense experience for you and the children. 🔥

The traditional event is part of the Advent calendar village and follows directly after the ceremonial opening of an Advent window – so a market visit can be easily combined with the Perchtenlauf.

You also experience an interactive tradition: If a Percht touches you with her horse's tail, it is considered a good-luck omen – a special moment for children. The event is suitable for families and school groups, is considered generally wheelchair accessible and offers an accessible restroom. The spectacle takes place on the village square during the Advent market and goes ahead in any weather. 🎄
