Description

Zoo Safari for vacation children at Zoo Landau in the Palatinate

on August 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

The Landau Zoo School, in cooperation with StadtLeben Landau in der Pfalz GmbH, offers a special event for children aged 6 to 12 who are spending their holidays in Landau and the surrounding region: the "Zoo Safari." During a two-and-a-half-hour interactive tour of Landau Zoo, children have the chance to observe animals in their enclosures and even experience some of them up close. They will learn interesting facts and gain insights into the lives of zoo animals. How much meat does a tiger eat per day? How can zookeepers tell penguins apart? How small is a kangaroo when it is born?

In addition, there will be information about the work of a modern zoological garden to explain what zoos are for today and how they contribute to the preservation of endangered species. Of course, children can also ask their own questions, and the educators will bring great teaching materials such as eggs, furs, feathers, and skulls to touch and admire. This makes the zoo tour a very special experience for all the vacation children!

Registration for the Zoo Safari is required and can be done through the Tourist Information by phone at 0 63 41-13 83 10.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, August 4, 2026!

The event starts at 2:00 PM, meeting at the zoo ticket counter from 1:45 PM.

Please note that the zoo ticket counter may be busy in the afternoon during the holiday season, so please bring your child to the zoo in good time.

Cost: €12.50 (CASH ONLY!) for the Zoo Safari plus €2.50 zoo admission!

The Landau Zoo reserves the right to cancel the event due to weather or shorten it if necessary.
