Badestelle Holmer Siel

Badestelle am Holmer Siel – A peaceful spot at the North Sea

Badestelle am Holmer Siel is located in the northern part of Nordstrand, right on the Beltringharder Koog. One striking feature here is the drainage of the Arlau, which flows into the North Sea via a retention basin – an important drainage system for the land along the west coast. The water access is designed so that you can enjoy a refreshing swim about three hours before and after high tide. During the summer season, the bathing area is supervised, so visitors can feel safe and comfortable.

Besides a small sandy beach, the bathing spot also offers a lawn that's perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. You can enjoy the soft grassy ground beneath your feet while taking in the view of the Hallig Nordstrandischmoor and the lagoon of the Beltringharder Koog behind the dike.

There is also a nude beach and a dog beach, so every visitor can relax according to their preferences.

Various beach chairs are available during the season for a fee. A trust box at the shower by the textile section is provided for payments. If you get hungry or thirsty, the café and restaurant "Zum Strandkorb" at the parking lot offers a pleasant place to stop by. They not only serve delicious food and drinks but also provide public restrooms and a nature info point with interesting information about the region.

Surfers and swimmers are asked to be considerate of each other to ensure a harmonious atmosphere. On calm days with beautiful views, Holmer Siel is the perfect destination for anyone wanting to fully enjoy the North Sea.
