Nordstrand Holmer Siel

Thanks to the dike enclosing the former Nordstrand bay, you can swim here in the North Sea almost independently of the tides – about three hours before and after high tide. A staircase with a railing gives you safe access to the water. If you want to relax in between, you can make yourself comfortable in one of our beach chairs and enjoy the sun. From the green beach, you not only have a wonderful view of the Halligen on the horizon but can also experience the fascinating nature of the mudflats and the North Sea up close. The North Sea Coast Cycle Route passes right by and invites you to take a tour to Hamburger Hallig or Nordstrand.

Family Beach – fun and relaxation for young and old

Enjoy an unforgettable time with your family at Nordstrand's green beach! While the kids play energetically on the playground with swings and climbing frames, adults can relax in the beach chair and read a good book. Savor the fresh North Sea air and the wide view of the sea and the Halligen.

Whether splashing in the almost tide-independent water or making sandcastles of all sizes – there is plenty for children to discover here. For added safety, the DLRG is on site for six weeks a year.

Dog Beach – North Sea experience for you and your four-legged friend

Dogs are also warmly welcome on the Holmer Siel beach! Leashes are required here, but there is plenty of room to romp and play. Your furry friend can make new friends while you enjoy the fresh sea breeze.
