Feuerbacher Heide
Description
Feuerbacher Heide is a large, park-like green space in Stuttgart's northern district, mostly made up of meadows grazed seasonally by sheep, but it also includes a community garden area. It is the northern slope facing the Feuerbach district, part of the highest elevation in the northern district, featuring the Bismarck Tower — a popular lookout above the city on the Gähkopf. Feuerbacher Heide stretches from the residential street of the same name in the west, beginning at Doggenburg, to the grounds of the TC Weissenhof tennis club in the east, and is bordered to the north by the main road Am Kräherwald, which separates Feuerbacher Heide from Kräherwald and thus from the extensive forest area spreading into Stuttgart's west. To the northeast, it transitions into the Killesberg district and has a green connection to the Höhenpark Killesberg. In this way, Feuerbacher Heide can be seen as the outermost and highest part of the Green U.
