Description
Fischereimuseum Hohnstorf is a specialized museum dedicated entirely to traditional fishing – with a focus on fishing in the Elbe River.
In two exhibit areas, you can discover original old fishing gear, numerous photos, as well as fishing boats and nets outdoors – fascinating insights into the history of Elbe fishermen!
The museum is run by the volunteer association Fischereimuseum Hohnstorf/Elbe e.V., which has preserved the centuries-old fishing tradition of Hohnstorf for over 20 years and passes it on to future generations.
Especially popular are the cultural special events like “Fisch & Feierabend”: Here, you’ll find entertaining stories, sociable gatherings, tasty fish snacks, and regional gin tastings.
A wonderful, educational outing for the whole family right on the Elbe, bringing local tradition and fishing to life up close 🎣.
