Description
The Grenzland-Museum invites you to experience history up close. In the new special exhibition “PROCESSING – The GDR in the Culture of Remembrance”, you’ll learn how the memory of the GDR dictatorship is shaped and get fascinating insights into East Germany’s history.
The museum presents the German division from 1945 to 1990 as balanced and historically accurate as possible – ideal for helping your family understand this important period.
The offering is based on three pillars: exhibitions, events, and partnerships with local schools so that young people in particular can actively experience history and democracy. There is also a Sunday brunch on the first Sunday of every month, inviting members and guests to a cozy get-together.
The museum was founded in 1992 and offers plenty of space for family-friendly learning and discovery within its manageable 344 square meters.
