Guericke-Zentrum Lukasklause

Description
## Brief description
The Guericke-Zentrum showcases the history of Otto von Guericke (1602-1686).
## Description
The Guericke-Zentrum, located right on the Elbe River, is a historic complex of buildings over 700 years old that vividly illustrates the development of Magdeburg.
Under the direction of the Otto-von-Guericke-Gesellschaft e. V., Guericke's life is brought to life here through historical replicas of devices, pictures, documents, and experiments. In addition to exhibition areas about Guericke's life and a student experiment lab, the building complex has housed since its opening in 2010 the multimedia permanent exhibition "Magdeburg – City on the River, Living on and with the Elbe," which highlights the importance of the Elbe as a source of food, a bulwark, and a transport route.
