The Haager Heimatmuseum im Schloss Starhemberg brings history to life and offers many hands-on and display opportunities especially for families.
The 2026 special exhibition is called: REBELLEN! Die schwarzen Bauern der Weiberau and tells personal stories from the peasant uprisings of the 17th century – exciting for older children who enjoy history.
For children there is a regular children's holiday program, miniature rooms and everyday rural objects from around 1900 that invite touching and discovery. Guided tours for families are available on request; thematic evening programs like the Nachtwächterrundgang provide an atmospheric experience. 🕯️
