Heimatmuseum Altenmarkt offers exciting insights into over 1000 years of regional history – from crafts, agriculture, and church to railways, music, and traditional costumes.

The exhibitions include a historic kitchen, a colonial-style shop corner, and a shoemaker’s workshop. Art lovers will also discover paintings by Josef Vanoni that bring Altenmarkt to life in the 1950s.

Admission is free, so families can explore everything together at a relaxed pace 👍.

Local books are also available, diving deeper into the history of Altenmarkt and Baumburg as well as the postwar football tradition.

Wheelchair access is available upon request, so all visitors can take part.
